Cabinet in Black Walnut, 'Bridget'
The solid carcass of this walnut cabinet is constructed with mitred corner joints with a partition and shelf inside. The design on the doors is hand routed - the grooves graduating inwards to give the illusion that the doors curve in to the centre, adding a focus and delicacy to the chunky dark box they are attached to.
The doors on this piece are inspired by Bridget Riley's 1964 painting 'Loss'.’

Walnut Chest of Drawers
Materials: American walnut

High modernism in black walnut, the drawer sides and the insides edges of the carcass are both bevelled at 45 degrees so the drawers appear to sink into the carcass. This chest of drawers were designed in a pair to sit either of side of the client's bed but are made to order to any height or width.
