Hand Carved Scorched English Ash. The natural scarations of the Ash timber is highlighted by the scorching process and runs vertically up the piece, contrary to the subsequent carving. The gouges move outwards from their slotted or circular origins and move in an organic yet mathmatical confidence across the material. This large work has a major impact on medium and large rooms and measures 120cm x 80cm
